NH Division of Forests and Lands and the White Mountain National Forest Sign Firewood Ban Orders

On May 29, 2009 Division of Froests and Lands Interim Director Brad Simpkins and DRED Commissioner George Bald signed Order 2009-01 prohibiting the movement of firewood of all types and species onto state-owned properties under the administration of DRED.  White Mountain National Forest Supervisor Tom Wagner also signed a similar order banning the movement of firewood onto the White Mountain National Forest.  Kiln-dried, packaged firewood is exempt from this order.
