Taylor Up and Down Sawmill – 2018 hours of operation
The 200-year old "Taylor Up and Down Sawmill” located on Island Pond Road in Derry, New Hampshire, will be open to the public from 10AM to 4PM on the following dates in 2018: June 9 and 30, July 14 and 28, August 11 and 25, September 8 and 22.
Demonstrations are dependent upon available water and wood.
The first meeting of the Bear Brook Steering Committee is scheduled for Monday, April 29, from 5:00-7:00pm, at the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Headquarters at 172 Pembroke Road, Concord, NH. The Steering Committee has been appointed by Commissioner Stewart to provide advice to the Department during the update and revision of the 1994 Bear Brook State Park Management Plan. At this meeting the Division of Forests and Lands and the Division Parks and Recreation will present an overview of park management to the Steering Committee and outline the revision process. Steering Committee meetings are open to the public.
